Hello.

Nice to meet you.

Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm a middle-aged man that has been working in the software industry for 25 years. After too many layoffs, I decided that I need to pivot. Pivot! Pivot! I have always loved movies and television and actors, which I think stems from my grandmother's love of pop culture. She rarely missed an episode of Entertainment Tonight and always picked up an US Weekly on her trips to the grocery store. I still remember being with her when we watched the premiere of Michael Jackson's Thriller video. I had nightmares that night, but I didn't really care.

When I hit high school, I immediately took advantage of being able to choose electives, and picked drama, acting, and musical theatre for every year I could. I may have not shined as bright as some people in my classes, but I loved doing it and putting on the shows and skits. I loved the feeling of nailing a spot perfectly to get the laugh or reaction. I will always remember, in grade 9, landing a role in our high school's interpretation of Alice in Wonderland. It was a tiny role (the Mother Oyster), but it was mine.

The sea is nice. Take my advice, and stay right here instead.

That line killed! Delivering it in an old British woman's accent probably helped, as well as sitting on a wood box wrapped in a grey fitted sheet probably help as well. I love making up voices and just walking around the house talking in them out loud... just ask my wife. I go go high and I can go really low. I can do some animals too. There's probably a video of my chimpanzee out there on the web. I did it during my speech at my first wedding. Don't ask.
